The water treatment plant for the coal-fired power plant Rotterdam can rightfully be called a landmark project for SFL. The system produces boiler feed water of highest quality, to achieve this water quality as per VGB guidelines and better despite of the heavy seasonal fluctuations in raw water quality, a pre-treatment system mainly consisting of a dissolved air flotation, heat exchanger and a crossflow ultrafiltration with CTA – membranes is installed. The treatment upflow of this system mainly consists of softeners, a three-staged reverse osmosis, membrane degassifiers and mixed bed filters. The complete chemical storage and dosing systems as well as storage tanks with net volumes up to 2.700 m³ have also been included in the SFL scope. The net demin water capacity is 2 x 50 m³/hr.
